Yesterday’s Evening Standard featured an advertising wraparound that makes a virtue of society’s prim and proper attitude to the naked body. But I suspect many people would be more shocked by the pubes on the original than the nudity per se. (See

Yes indeed. The original show in Paris in 1917 was shut down for precisely that reason - pubes.
