Nail biting

More Goddy stuff, I'm afraid. And, whether by coincidence or something spookier, this is my 666th blog post:

The lamented Bill Hicks used to imagine Jesus Christ returning to Earth and seeing his followers proudly wearing the instrument of his torture and execution; as Hicks pointed out, it's a bit like commemorating President Kennedy by wearing a little Carcano rifle.

I don't know whether the Rev Ewen Souter is a devotee of the Hicks oeuvre, but he would appear to have been thinking along the same lines when he removed from his church in Sussex a sculpture of Christ writhing in agony and replaced it with an unoccupied cross, in stainless steel...

Further carpentry tips here.

Did you see the crucifix is question? It was somewhat expressionistic...

I like Rowan Williams too. If anyone could convert me to Christianity I think he could, because he dares to question his faith and acknowledges that there are no easy answers. He has intellect, integrity and humility, which is all you can ask for in a public figure.

However, I remain a firm follower of the 'Church of the Poison Mind'.

Billy: I wasn't aware that Jesus said "Thou shalt not possess an Egon Schiele, for it is horrid."

Steerforth: "He has intellect, integrity and humility, which is all you can ask for in a public figure." I would have thought those were the three things that disqualified anyone from high office these days.

Interesting content.

Just wanted to share some information that may help busy professionals caught up with work and who have less time to maintain their nails. You can try out gel nails which are now becoming a hot favorite as they are natural looking even without nail tips and the best way for nail enhancement. Also, if you are allergic to those strong smelling chemicals which you can experience with acrylic nails, then you should use gel nails as these are odorless.

However, when you are planning on gel nail application, make sure you approach a nail salon or a nail artist who is well versed with gel nails and is properly trained and mastered in gel applications. This will save you from problems that can arise with improper gel nail applications.

Yeeees... Except that you were lured here by the word 'nails' in the post title which, in this context refers to the metal things with which one fixes two bits of wood together, or indeed with which one attaches a Messiah to a cross. So you've made a bit of a nob of yourself, haven't you?
