There are memoirists like Child who write about what made them famous, or infamous. There are unremarkable people who write about a remarkable thing that happened to them. And there is the 21st century memoirist, who makes him- or herself interesting in order to write about it.

I should imagine there'll be a big budget feature of Wife In The North's blog/book at some point.
I quite like the idea of somebody who is posh, prickly and annoying such as Helen Lederer getting the lead role, but it'll probably end up being someone who is frail and lovely such as Emily Watson.
And if a man lived in obscurity making his friends in that obscurity, obscurity is not uninteresting.
