now see, i'm confused. at first otaku meant' disgusting pervert' and/or 'sad lame gamer uber anime fan' and now its just 'nerd'? so much for my career at the japanese damn embassy.
Esperanto can't be geeky, Geoff. Elvis Costello and Radiohead both used it for sleeve notes... ah.
FN: Are you thinking of chikan (subway gropers)? Otaku was originally a maga/anime/game geek, as I understand it, but it's expanded to include anyone who feels a bit excluded from mainstream society. Although Jun O might be able to clarify this.
