All of a sudden, I'm very self-conscious about capitalisatioN

LC tears himself away from contemplating norkage just long enough to indulge the burblings of some bitter, twisted old expat. Meanwhile, John Crace in The Guardian thinks that publishing is a bit conservative, and reckons that embracing new technology - like blogging, perhaps - might not be such a bad idea, and he can even hazard a guess about where bears shit.

I somehow joined in the capitalisation discussion (I do as you do, by the by) even though that wasn't my original intent when I went to comment on LC's post.

It seems to be a conversation feature, indeed. One questions why the wine in the hair story didn't get more focus, although I did wonder about it too.

I never gave capitals a second thought until just now.

I didn't know Catherine Townsend had a blog. Where is it? I can't find it...

Is it a recent thing that publishers lack imagination then? Jumping on bandwagons, trying to find the new Harry Potter, the new blockbuster autobiography? (As someone once said 'Publishing's easy. You just have to publish only bestsellers.')

Pinot-head interface explanation over at LC's place, TH. Not that I can remember much.

Keep it that way, Billy. They're dull, unless you're e.e. cummings. (The Thai language doesn't have them.)

CT's blog is here, Annie. But decent publishers don't only publish bestsellers. They publish a few bestsellers to subsidise the good books.

Great interview. The innuendoe in "Bangkok eh?" did not escape me.

oh dear - guilty of never capitalising at all.
(just call me e e)

I know, but I think this sums up their mindset and why they often seem to lack imagination...

(Is this blogger the same Catherine? Catherine Townsend wrote 'Sleeping Around: Secrets of a Sexual Adventuress' and is a sex columnist in the Independent etc)

never mind, rg. blame txtmsgng.

Oops, sorry, no, Annie, that's entirely the wrong person. I get a bit overwhelmed with all these sexblooks (all of which have covers that feature line drawings of women in purple underwear). Maybe people just assume she's a blogger because she writes about shagging.

Although a decent blog probably gets a wider readership than The Indy these days...

Sorry, dh, didn't see you there. Yes, the assumptions about Bangkok run thick and fast. With some justification... a number of very strange people choose to come out here.

Oh you looked so cute. I had this old man picture in my head and you are totally different.

So I look cute, but sound old?

Tim, I'm sure you don't really care, but this is Catherine Townsend's blog:
http://sleeping-around.blogspot.com/

Disallows comments, bah. Takes all the fun out of it...

You linked to me as being Catherine Townsend - sorry but I am sooooo not sleeping around or writing Secrets of a Sexual Adventures. Perhaps that is where I am going wrong!

Yeah, sorry, sorry, had two windows open, pasted wrong thing, got me Ca----ne's mixed.
