Ruff draft

Possibly an addendum to the post about blogging from a few days ago (from the New Yorker, via M.A. Peel).

If only we were articulate and literate, we bloggers would fight back against this sort of abuse.

Oh well, Rog. Just proves that there’s nothing new worth blogging. I’ve turned into Blog Gold without knowing it.

"Ouch" is right.

There is a new CBS show called Blue Bloods staring Tom Selleck as the fictional chief of the New York police department. In a scene at a press conference, someone asks about a piece of news that's just come out, and Selleck says, "You are a trained journalist, are you really going to believe a bunch of bloggers?"

It doesn't get more mainstream than the CBS network, and it's sad to see that that kind of blog bigotry still persists.
