A quick piece I wrote about the pop/celeb culture of the past decade for the Australian women’s magazine Madison. You need to scroll down before you get to my bit. Incidentally, they removed my stuff about The Truman Show and replaced it with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Their gaff, their rules, I suppose.

Substituting 2001: A Space Odyssey for the Truman Show seems a particularly inept piece of sub-editing considering the relevance of the latter film to the points you were making about technology-assisted intrusion into private lives. It's not as though the allusion to the Truman Show (which was directed by Peter Weir) would be lost on an Australian readership.
