Several years ago, I got Stephen Pastel to write a review of a new Beat Happening box set for Careless Talk Costs Lives magazine.
I think this is probably the single most indie-pop thing ever done, by anyone, ever. Unless anybody knows any different.

I once bought a Beat Happening album from Stephen Pastel and shuffled my feet awkwardly until he felt obliged to say something about it. Not nearly as impressive as your one, but more underachieving.
A while ago on the radio Tom Robinson said that the previous night he'd been to see some super-flowery under-the-radar tragic indie band with Steve Lamacq.
He challenged listeners to come up with an even more indie sentence.
I think Tim may have managed that here with bells on.
I suspect you might have edged me out there Chris, not just for the underachievement, but because the transaction occurred (presumably) in Glasgow.
Hello Spinny, sweetie. Mmm yes, Tom Robinson. I mean, Small Boo once gave a demo tape to Steve Lamacq, which is surely more indie in itself than going to see a band with him.
I'm Eastern Counties Division in this particular Premiership, although I did once get Mungo Jerry's Autograph. He'd just released "Indie Summertime".

Llewtrah: because I haven't been back to Blighty (or anywhere much) since publication, I still haven't actually seen the book in a real shop. Did you hear about Stephen King autographing some of his own titles in a shop in Oz? They thought he was a drunk vandal, and called the police.
Proper job, Julian? The only thing our mutual place of learning equipped anyone for was sailing around in a bloody tea clipper. Trust you're well, old chap.
Not at all indie-related this, but current Reading manager, ex Liverpool, Man Utd. and England player Steve "Stevie" Coppell once kicked a ball back into play for me during a 5-a-side tournament. Then we got chatting, you know, like you do; exchanged a couple of words. "Thanks, Steve", most probably.
Nifty little player, wasn't he? He would have looked the part in an indie band too, I'll warrant. You know, handing out leaflets wearing a parka and so on. He had hair back then, obviously. Whereas Lou Macari...
