Now we are six

I started this blog six years ago today. My first post mentioned the analogue/digital continuum, Bertie Bucket (RIP), Haruki Murakami (see last post) and vodka. Well, what did you expect? Progress?

Happy birthday young man! We've all been at this blogging for a while now. I wish I had more time to maintain mine.

Finding your blog was like getting off the bus, two stops before my destination. I'd recommend it to anyone in need of fresh air. You have plenty to say, Tim, and you say it in a way that makes it a pleasure to listen.

I salute your indefatigability.
And never mind your anniversary - just think of all the more junior blog scribblers you've spawned (cough) - though unlike Ken Livingstone, you may not have kept track of all your scattered offspring.

Hurray! Hurray for Cultural Snow! Hurray for finding a friend on the internet. Also, what Martin said.

(I like your new photo. It is a bit saucy somehow.)

Thanks, Hoolie. Wish I had enough excitement in my life to distract me from writing mine.

Sweet of you to say, Martin.

I keep them tagged, BWT. In case they misbehave.

Thank you Rog, and your hairy friends.

Yes, some have called it saucy, Annie. I think it looks a bit gastric.

Thank you, Billiam.

Please don't, e@l. But thanks all the same.

I'm trying to remember how I found you 6 years ago, and I can't. But I'm very glad I did. I'm almost exactly 1 year behind you (my blogversary is Nov. 25), and I'm happy to watch the you go through the various stages in the life of a blogger before me:)
